Shandong Minhe is located in Penglai city, Shandong province, China. Their cooperation with Petersime started in January 2010. This year they decided to build a new hatchery and called in Petersime again for their new project.
Back in time, Shandong Minhe built the largest modern single-stage hatchery in Asia. The hatchery went into production in 2010 with a yearly output of 100 million day-old chicks. They installed a total of 90 BioStreamer™ 24S setters and BioStreamer™ 8H hatchers, fully equipped with a Petersime climate control system.
Shandong Minhe started to build a new hatchery in 2015 and decided to work with Petersime again. They ordered 90 BioStreamer™ 24S HD setters and BioStreamer™ 8H HD hatchers, 1 BioStreamer™ Re-Store and a complete climate control system. The new hatchery will start to operate in 2016, reaching a total yearly output capacity of up to 300 million day-old chicks.
Mr Sun Ximin, Chairman of Minhe praises: “We wanted to cooperate with Petersime again, because Petersime delivers very good product quality and their product design focuses on bio-security. But even more important is their professional after sales service. Paying attention to product quality and service is in line with Minhe’s management policy and allows us to supply very good quality day-old chicks to our customers.”
Shandong Minhe produces day-old broiler chicks. It was formerly run by the Ministry of Culture of Shandong, as a broiler demonstration farm in Penglai, founded in 1985 and restructured in 1997. In May 2008, they became China’s first listed broiler company.
Shandong Minhe has 42 production units that consist of breeder farms, hatcheries, feed mills, commercial broiler farms, food companies, import & export companies, biotechnology companies, etc.
Now they have a 2.3 million PS broiler breeding stock, a yearly output of more than 200 million commercial broiler day-old chicks, slaughter more than 20 million commercial broiler chicks annually, process over 60,000 tons of chicken meat annually and have a feed production capacity of 400,000 tons.
